Functioning of the batches

Every batch follows a well and standardised operating procedure.


STD. IX

STD. IX : Term II (2013 -14)

    Term II
  • Diwali Vacation – 10 days
  • Duration per day – 3 / 4 hours
    Post Diwali Vacation
  • The last working day for the lectures will depend on the date of commencement of Final Examinations in schools.
  • No. of days per week – 3 / 4 days
  • Duration per day – 3 / 4 hours Portion will be covered as per the need of the school examinations.
    Tests
  • Chapter-wise tests will be conducted on a periodic basis as per the completion of the chapters.
    Course Material
  • Study material of all subjects will be given, with all possible questions and answers based on the Std. IX curriculum.
Note:  Students should COMPULSORILY submit a photocopy of their marksheets of Std. VII & VIII – Final Examination.

STD. IX : (2014 -15)

    Term I
  • 14th April 2014 – 10th May 2014
  • Duration per day – 3 hours daily
    1st June 2014 – October 2014
  • The last working day for the lectures will depend on the date of commencement of Terminal Examinations in schools.
  • No. of days per week – 5 / 6
  • Duration per day – 3 / 4 hours
    Term II
  • Diwali Vacation - 6 days
  • Duration per day - 3 / 4 hours
    Post Diwali Vacation
  • The last working day for the lectures will depend on the date of commencement of Final Examinations in schools.
  • No. of days per week – 6
  • Duration per day – 3 / 4 hours
Portion will be covered as per the need of the school examinations.
    Tests
  • Chapter-wise tests will be conducted on a periodic basis as per the completion of the chapters.

Christmas Vacation Batch (CVB) : (2014 -15)

The batch functioning will be as follows:
    Christmas Vacation
  • 26th December 2013 – 30th December 2013
  • January 2014 – February 2014
  • Duration per day – 3 / 6 hours
  • 30 hours of SSC portion will be covered.
    Summer Vacation
  • 13th April 2014 – 10th May 2014
  • Duration per day – 3 hours
  • 11th May 2014 – 1st June 2014
  • Duration per day – 6 hours
  • 2nd June 2014 – 9th June 2014
  • Duration per day – 3 hours

    55% portion of all subjects will be covered till the end of Summer Vacation.

    Regular School Days
  • 15th June 2014 – September 2014
  • Last working day depends on the date of commencement of Term Examinations in school.
  • No. of days per week – 3 / 5 days per week
  • 35% of the portion will be covered in this phase.

    Diwali Vacation
  • No. of days: 16 days of working during Diwali Vacation
  • Duration per day – 3 / 6 hours
  • Remaining 10% of the portion will be covered in this phase.

Summer Vacation Batch (SVB) : (2014 -15)

The batch functioning will be as follows:
    Summer Vacation
  • 13th April 2014 – 10th May 2014
  • Duration per day – 3 hours
  • 11th May 2014 – 1st June 2014
  • Duration per day – 6 hours
  • 2nd June 2014 – 8th June 2014
  • Duration per day – 3 hours
  • 50% portion of all subjects will be covered till the end of Summer Vacation

    Regular School Days
  • 15th June 2014 – September 2014
  • Last working day depends on the date of commencement of term Examinations in school
  • Duration per Week – 12 / 15 hours
  • 3 / 5 days per week
  • 35% of the portion will be covered in this phase

    Diwali Vacation
  • No. of days per week - First 10 days
  • Duration per day - 6 hours
  • No. of days per week - Next 6 days
  • Duration per day - 3 hours
  • Remaining 15% of the portion will be covered in this phase
    Tests
  • Students write a planned and systematic series of tests, that contribute to revision.
    First Test:
  • This is conducted from May – June. It covers the portion completed in the first four weeks of the Summer Vacation.
    Second Test:
  • This is conducted from June - July. It covers the remaining portion completed in the Summer Vacation.
    Third Test:
  • This is conducted after completion of the portion in November. It covers the portion completed in the regular days and in the Diwali Vacation.
    Fourth Test -
  • First Preliminary Examination: Examinations are held in December as per the pattern prescribed by the Board. Mock Board examinations are conducted between 26th December and 31st December.
    Fifth Test –
  • Second Preliminary Examination: This is held in January exactly as per the pattern prescribed by the Board.
    Science Practicals
  • These will be conducted in the month of February.
    Course Material
  • This consists of printed notes of all subjects with questions and answers relevant to the Board examinations.
